Insullite^® is a fire retardant cover designed to allow the installer to insulate safely and effectively around recessed lights. Research has shown that without proper insulation, areas around recessed lights can allow a large amount of heat energy to enter/escape from a building. However, insulation placed too close to lights can also be a fire hazard. When installed, Insullite^® allows insulation to be placed as close to the light or heat producing fixture as possible without the risk of fire.
